Their "record" would never stand up to anything resembling investigation2- Half the gurus are not real estate people at all; they are unsuccessful actors fronting for a seminar company.3- The basics of successful investing in real estate have not changed in one hundred years.4- Learning, understanding, and experiencing the basics of real estate finance, real estate law, and property management will provide the foundation for a successful investing career.  

My main reason being that I don't want to switch careers to Real Estate, I just want to use property as passive income.

They all said that they're willing to work with us due to our solid career and earnings.

I have also considered switching careers to become a real estate agent, so I could have access to the MLS and it would help with the income debt ratio because I wouldn't be  paid under the table anymore. 

It really struck a cord with my financial position and needs with my current full time career.

And I love houses :D  Managing other people's assets is a rewarding career, but office space is my job, and homes are where my heart is.
