It has Steam heat and I paid to replace the boiler initially, however, over the past few years all the cast iron pipes are riddled with leak and rust.

Thanks the house turned out amazing and the potential new owner is in love with the house and is lining up a VA loan and this could be some of the snag and that coupled with in this part of maine Flipping houses isnt very common and when people buy tax properties they usually live in or rent them out. so the mortgage company and ironically the title company they use were very unfamiliar with the process or what to do when they saw it was tax acquired property.

I haven't taken a bath since 2004 (although I shower almost daily) and I just don't know if it is worth keeping the old, cast iron tubs and having them reglazed or removing them and replacing them with a walk in shower for about the same price.

The bathroom consisted of the hot water heater, sink, old cast iron bathtub (like 400lbs worth), and toilet all of which needed to be replaced.
