Are the existing cabinets that hideous that they can't be saved with some paint and fresh hardware?

If you don’t know anyone I get referrals that have been great from my local hardware store.  

Less leisure time to travel and majority of 2nd home buyers either having a tighter wallet due to Covid or avoiding the purchase until cases reduce. 

I am not sure its fair to generalize "banks are tight"...they may be a little more risk adverse given the current environment, but they have not totally shut down or have they closed their wallets.

The property needs cosmetic repairs including paint, new flooring, new hardware etc.

All the local affiliates sell and install the same hardware but the companies have a different name in every region. 

I plan on painting the walls and cabinets, adding a kitchen backsplash (probably peel and stick), updating light fixtures, and hardware on cabinets.

Want to do a low-end kitchen update including inexpensive counter tops and replacing hardware on cabinetry and repainting them.

I have a property under contract that I am penciling out my thoughts for the SOW before I bring over contractors and I originally thought I would have to remove it and install a new ac/furnace but my interior designer mentioned that some people like them if done with decorative covers but I just didn’t see that matching my original plan/style even though I was going for a traditional meets modern look thats very clean,lots of whites(Not Sterile) with warm fixtures and hardware..

@Natisha PhouphaylyKitchens and bathrooms will get the most bang for your buck as these are the places with the most shiny things such as light fixtures, cabinet hardware, countertops, etc.
