Embrace the inefficiency!

This post looks at a somewhat newer investment philosophy/methodology, one that a lot of investors (and homeowners) are contemplating or embracing as housing prices and scarcity push some buyers out of the higher-priced city markets.

Unfortunately, almost every urban homeowner I know is vehemently opposed to building more apartments to meet the demand, which is the major reason we continue to experience exorbitant rent increases.So until us urban homeowners are willing to embrace 20+ story buildings in our backyard, US urban areas will continue to crack down on investor Airbnbs.

Better, in my eyes, to focus in on one area and get as much market penetration that way.

I would suggest penetrating the market with whatever creative ideas you have if you want to find the real deals!

Use the screwdriver test:  if the tip of the screwdriver easily penetrates the surface of the sheetrock, plaster, wood or wherever you see the mold, remove and replace it.
