Don't get me wrong, I'm a strong advocate for diversification so I'm not advocating for investing exclusively in real estate, however, if you look at long term returns, real estate far outperforms stocks when you consider the total return from income and equity from real estate.

There are numerous advantages to investing alongside a syndicator, such as having access to more investment opportunities, diversification, enjoying high returns at a lower risk, etc.

In short, diversification. 

all these VC guys are just bunch of FOMO guy as well, they would invest to one product/company at a time and withdraw as FOMO as well, there's no diversification for those VC although they seems smart from outside, this is also why you see so many "unicorn" list during cheap money era and those list evaporated during high rate lolSo the problem with SVB is not SVB specific, all banks do the same, they would buy MBS in last 10 years as those are the only gov. backed up asset that has little bit of interest. 

Robert Kiyosaki doesnt believe in owning a home, does t believe in long term investing, doesnt believe in diversification and he wants to be on the gold standard, and sells $10k get rich seminars.

This would provide some diversification to protect against local employer risk.

I'm a big fan of diversification, if you can buy a few lots side-by-side to build on one at a time, or maybe an apartment building or warehouse you can rent and convert to condos later, those are the ways I would go if real estate is the route you choose.

But I don’t know if I build any strategy - except general geographic diversification for a number of reasons - around that consideration.

I am very content with my strategy of asset allocation and diversification that I only look at and rebalance once a quarter.
