If so, I would explain the situation and attempt a discount for the demo and rebuild of a garage that would be basically a functional structure, since that might be what you end up with.

He asked about the money i owed him and i said "write down what you have finished and i will tell you what you will get". he said "i dont have time to spend on going over items i did for you"....btw, there isn't a single thing he actually finished. except demo, which he got paid for.the more contractors i come across, the more conflicts i have. first 3 houses i did 98% of the work myself, so i had no problems. last 2.....nothing but problems because i keep trying to get away from doing the work myself.

After demo you use 2"x6" to build the trusses. 30 2"x6"x16' or 20'28 sheets of drywall hung and finishedLighting, Wiring, SwitchesApprox.

The benefits we are pursuing here are:due diligence - we will be purchasing this home to make money first so we would be doing all the things that a flipper would do only we would be living there instead of renters or buyers. save money - this would save money for us if we were both to pay on a mortgage rather than pay rent (even though Pittsburgh has very low rent relative to other cities, it would still be cheaper considering the type of home and price we would be purchasing)experience in all the work - we would probably do most of the demo work and easy painting but other than that we would have to contract out all the work..this will give us experience in project managing I would love to read comments regarding this idea...
