This leads to all sorts of market distortions and inefficiencies.Last I heard California is still a democracy so "the politicians" were elected by the people of the state, and are doing what the people want them to do: to perpetuate the endless growth myth of the post-WWII boom, during which California grew on cheap oil, cheap labor, and cheap federal money.

The current circumstances created the perfect scenario for the boom of the so-called “Zoom towns”: rural and suburban getaways for travelers looking for a place to isolate themselves from crowded cities.

I consulted with a BP member a few weeks ago about how to find hidden gems in her town of Nashville and BOOM she sends me an e mail  YOU MEAN LIKE THIS   I said YUP.. thats Money..

Time will tell whether or not I'll kick myself for not fully tapping into the conventional refi boom amidst a historic pandemic/civil unrest but for now I'll say I'm happy never seeing a 1003 or pay stub again and focusing on alternatives (hard money, commercial, portfolio, etc) for investors.

If Greenville continues to boom like it has the past 10 years, I suggest any house you buy will prove to be a good investment.My comments are high level broad brush but I believe ultimately true.We can fine tune a little at the margins of your property search.I continue to invest in Greenville and am optimistic about its future.
