As a reality check, I looked at numbers I have at my disposal.

I'm kinda anal, so rather than just rolling up each floor & chunking it onto a trailer for disposal, I cut the carpet in each room into thirds, then folded it and stacked it outside - so I still have it.

The overall cost was more than a traditional house because the asbestos removal has to be contained and disposed of in a different way.
