For my taste I want my house-hacks to be house-hacks and my BRRRRRs to be BRRRRRs and I NEVER want to HAVE to live in a 4-plex while I fixit up with Hard Money so that when I refinance it off of my FHA 3.5% down loan onto a 75% LTV conventional loan I hope I've added enough value to pay back all the debts AND have the equity. 

This kinda risk “free” investment allowed me to feel the taste of RE as well as learn a lot of things about it in general.

It would be hard to know what the market will be up to in 3-5 years so you will not be able to make this decision now but if I were in your position I would own it like you might rent it-- that means no huge upgrades on things that are specific to your tastes-- and get to know what your real costs would be if you were to rent it, including using a property manager.  

Tasteful finishes, looks like quality work.

All of which leads me to the question, What is the Bidens’ taste, and how will they display it at the White House?

The second one the sellers gave me bad vibes and I had the taste in my mouth from the previous so I got a bit more aggressive slightly before closing. 

It's important to have clean, relevant, modern furniture and tasteful design.

It’s going to put a sour taste in everyone’s mouth but you’re almost at small claims court time unless you want to hire a lawyer.

@Devante Henry, looks a little tight for my taste but everyone has their own risk tolerance. 

That's not to say you can't update your "standard materials list" every few years to keep pace with trends or personal tastes.
