If not, then I'd have it sprayed with some mold prevention stuff too. 

Every time I walk into an older home and see wall paper I cringe....I have spent countless hours spraying and scraping old wall paper, layers upon layers, a long and tedious process that almost seems wasteful of time.How do people deal with wall paper?

I was down at the house for two hours today cleaning baseboards, doing a light sand, and spraying Kilz on them.

I got some counter top paint and sprayed it on a formica counter top at a rental and it lasted surprisingly long  5 years or so and then I did a remodel.

Plus if it is really cold there you could have issues with pipes etc. for that time of the year for an empty place.Damage to the property really isn't about the pets, it's the OWNERS.Spayed cats generally do not spray.

In the market downturn, I was driving to a listing for sale and passed a house where the owner had spray painted on the garage "B of A STOLE this house". 

I have seen brand new houses about 10 years ago, without house wrap, and that were spray painted onto the stucco.

I did the gutting, spray primed everything with killz and boarded the windows before closing.
