Contractors are perhaps the most notorious of businesses to over promise and under deliver (next to politicians).

Usually this type of law is for realtors not the general public but like any linsane law written by a politician. ..people usually find a way around it.

There are still lots of politicians (including the Minister of Finance and PM) who are still preaching no pending real estate crises or, worst case, a soft landing ... however, fewer and fewer economists are certain.

Politicians limit supply.

What bothers me most are folks who see Obama as an Idea rather than a politician with a historical voting record and a very real agenda.

(Not very likely, but would make for a great fiction novel topic)3) People default in large numbers and the politicians lack the willingness to do #1 or #2, so resort to giving out a 'haircut' on the student debtFor my part, I see #1 as the most likely outcome with a good chance of sliding into #3 as the number of defaults rises.

Most politicians are not interested in a mass wave of residential foreclosures.

The politicians are all spending their days trying to figure out how to cheat landlords out of their money.The law I'd like to see these morons pass is one that says that a renter living in my house and not paying rent is actually committing theft and that I should be allowed to have them arrested for stealing. 

I wonder if there is a book for politicians to read about attracting businesses to a state/city.
