Reach out to contractors with standard questions they can answer quickly without coming to see the property and compile a spreadsheet for yourself.

I will compile a list of questions for when I meet with them or talk to them next.

But the first thing to do is compile a timeline, review any oral or written agreements, emails, texts that are in place. 

There are services that compile this info that you can buy lists from.In Michigan, counties can't foreclose until 3rd year of nonpayment, so you'd want that list, NOT a list of just unpaid 2021 taxes.
