Hi everyone, I am looking into buying a LTR property in OKC and was wondering if anyone has experience with section 8 in Oklahoma City?

They will likely also need to close any access points to satisfy city inspectors that the now capped chimney cannot be used to "vent" anything in the future.You will likely want a demo team that is much cheaper to do the actual demo and haul off, but you need either the mason or an engineer to stipulate how far down they can/should demo, while leaving enough room for the cap to be effective and maintain any structural rigidity into the future to not create more issues.Long story longer, I would call more licensed, insured contractors.  

I will soon be operating a medium-term rental in a small city in Ohio.

In the DMV area, there may be differences with how you would approach investing in different cities so maybe attending different meet ups in different areas, e.g investing in DC would be different from cities in Virginia, Maryland etc.

I guess about the only thing that would worry me the most would be that if you add to the existing building, and if the city code has changed since after the initial build, then they are gonna want you to make all the necessary changes to the existing portion of the pemb.

Do I need to contact the city of Chicago to have the water shut off or is this something I can do myself?

If you have not already before you get into the weeds on a plan you would want to talk to your city buildings dept to make sure you can even subdivide the property to add more units.
