Curious to know if anyone has ever used the Jefferson county tax collector site & the Alabama department of revenue site to check for delinquent properties and OLD information pops up (Jefferson county site) or no information is found (Alabama revenue site), then on another day.....the information is different/there.

Depending on what your goals are (and where you stand financially now), I would also suggest Point Breeze, Passyunk, graduate hospital, any neighborhoods around the various colleges (Drexel, Temple, Penn, Jefferson, etc) and Manayunk (not sure how far your radius is).

I really think that the city has its fair share of challenges, but is also going to be on an upswing for the next few years, especially in areas of the city that previously haven't gotten a lot of hype (Jefferson Chalmers, East English Village, etc).
