Those assets are "protected" by the methodologies used to calculate how much a student can contribute toward college.Sadly, as a law student he'll mostly only be eligible for student loans, anyway!

I have already put a new heat pump in it, removing the ancient central air and gas heat.  

I just developed my own methodology based on what seemed logical to me, and wanting to ground it in some hard statistics.  

I spent a good portion of my growing up there, but that is ancient history.  

Others, some of them with decades of experience in financing and financial regulation were cautioning those who might read your initial post and be inspired by your enthusiasm that the methodologies being exposed could land you in the cross hairs of the regulators.I understand Orange is the new Black and all, but for some folks, orange just isn't that flattering.

DREIA's methodology is mostly shot gunning low ball offers to MLS listed properties.  

Also just bumped into this ancient thread on the subject as I searched for this book-- other offerings from our colleagues, 9 years ago.  

To bring this thread back on topic, with your expressed experience as an agent and as an investor I'd be happy to hear your methodology on efficiently assessing and closing on properties.

He only saw what Brooklyn was before.BUT, after visiting with me every year for the last 10 years.... he started to understand the methodology of investing in high appreciating, quality areas in NYC.
