These properties are usually sold at a lower price due to their ‘poor’ condition, and with some rehabilitation and renovation they can be transformed into valuable assets.

Having lived in some fairly remote and rural area and currently working on transforming a rental in a foreign land and foreign language I thought I share some of my experiences, results and advice when it comes to trying to manage construction remotely as an absentee or non present property owner or manager. 

Always love seeing these transformations, your are re-shaping the city in a positive way by doing this.

We just bought one in Columbus and found that there were quite a few houses on the street that have been completely transformed over the past few months, with more in progress.

Our goal is to refinance in Mid-2022, and renovate any other units that vacate along the way to further transform the building from a Class C to a Class B+! 

I want to learn what’s possible to transform a 2 fam to a 3 fam so I’m looking for an architect or a seasoned GC who has that knowledge and the team to get the most bang for the buck. 

But the transformation in those areas have taken decades.

I know what it is.I have seen this before.I can not be fore sure without seeing it for myselfQuestion when you go out side, and follow your wire you are going to come to a pole, on the pole there is a electrical transformer. ( as you get the pole the sound should become louder) the reason you can here it in you house is one of two reasons. one the noise is coming from the transformer that is too close to the house , or the transformer is about to go out. sometimes when the lighting hit them, they make this sound before they shut down.

The types of repairs I have done are putting a piece of trim back on the wall, replace a transformer on some string lights, etc.
