It takes a freeloader mentality for a tenant to 'stop rent' and it takes a 'freeloader enabler' mentality for a politician to need or want to buy that vote-with tax payer money- and unfortunately we have some of both in increasing numbers.

Based on my understanding I would need to pay taxes on rental income and there’s 2 ways on how to do this:1) Need to pay 30% based on gross rent income....2) Or, I can apply for an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) and pay X% based on net rent income - as i can apply deductions towards expenses...So my questions are for option (2) what is the tax % that applies to the net income?

I don't expect the current bill to go anywhere but I wouldn't be surprised if they pass another major bill, especially if it has a lot of freebies for the general public, banks, big businesses, etc.They're basically using tax-payer money to buy votes, in my humble opinion.

@Praveen AshokYou want to take a look at the prior return provided to you to see what the depreciable basis used for building, land and other things.If you notice that this information is not included with the return, you will want to discuss with the prior accountant on getting the "taxpayer" copy of the return.
