For example, if your total cost for all furnishings (not just the major stuff...all of it) amounts to your total net profit for years 1-3, I think you have a bad investment, in part because most of your furnishings have a lifespan of just 1-3 years.

In a duplex that stuff would  smell so I don't think the other unit would have missed it.

One thing that makes comparisons hard is the different names for fees, etc - and if its a buy down of rate and all that stuff.

Unfortunately, stuff is slowly falling apart and the road are not the best.
