I would go buy a 1000 business cards and 5 polo shirts with "I Buy Houses" embroidered or silk screened onto the pocket.

Either way, your plan to take advantage f lower prices for East is excellent!

I recently showed one of our properties and while waiting for this person pulled up some weeds from a front yard flower bed. 

They will bicker about whose spot has more sunshine, other tenants or neighboring kids will steal their tomatoes, someone will swipe the cute little solar spinning flower from one of the gardens, some tenants won't take care of their plots and they'll look like hell, some will use chemicals the other tenants will complain about, someone will steal the hoses.  

It also isn't helpful for those tenants who pay rent with cash or money orders.I did do bank garnishment on my very first tenants who skipped out and took all the "valuable" stuff (silk flowers) but left unimportant things such as bank statements behind. 

All of a sudden, the front looks symmetrical and there just happen to be some pretty trees/flowers to the left side.Here's an idea, only with black pots.  

Any kind of flower plantings will have to be pruned, headed, weeded, edged, etc.If it was a small yard, I'd just cover the whole thing with concrete and tell the tenants they can grow plants in pots.
