Again, tile is cheap $1 ceramic although I usually put mosaic accent wall in middle of shower (this tile is about $10 ft per sq ft)- Tile floor - $400 installation, $75 materials- Vanity: $500-$600 (can get cheaper though), faucet $120- toilet $150- tub refinishing $375, or new tub $650 (tub and installation)- shower/tub trim: $150- plumbing hook up $250Hope this gives you a good idea of costs.

In these cases, we could recarpet the house for the cheapest renovation, but we prefer to refinish the hardwood floors.

I started ripping up all the flooring, but now i'm 2nd guessing myself because I've had about 5 people tell me now that I should of just refinished the floor and sealed the floor with 3-4 layers of polyurethane.

We had several home projects that we requested 3 different company estimates: hardwood floor refinishing, baseboard installation, enclosing a porch to insulate with electric to add square footage to house and have sunroom, sprinkler system, outside deck/porch installation, paving of driveway, move a fence, possible foundation repair, structural engineers to clear no structural damage, inside painting companies, and attic insulation among others. 90% of all the estimates were never sent at all, or required 3+ calls to estimator and/or manager to have estimate finally sent.

So, if I had a gross earned income of $100,000 but spent $2,000 on refinishing hardwood floors then my gross income at tax time would be adjusted to $98,000 and then I'd be refunded the tax I previously paid on the $2,000 (100k-98k).
