One of them was a vacant Kmart property that I presented to a client 1.5 years ago to convert to indoor boat storage (near big vacation lake)... they didn't pursue... last week it was announced U-haul had purchased the property to convert to indoor storage. 

The property is in a flood plain....over time as development occurs there is very often a need to expand or adjust the natural flood control system by adding flow capacity, storage volume or surface area.

I was originally using the space for my own storage. 

Also, the room was being used as a storage by the previous owners, so area with damage was quite obscured. 11/26/2018- HOA confirms that they will send a maintenance person to take a look at the problem.

Unfortunately, she apparently believed (or was told, we're unsure) that the attic could be used for storage. 

Are they the sugar industry telling everyone that fats are the enemy? 

Track your spending and try cutting as much fat as possible like starbucks, booze, work lunches out, dinners out, lower cell phone, plans, get rid of cable, etc. and pay down all your debt.

Storage units?

Remodeling on vacancy is our big one, but:- Insulate attic- add storage pallets in basement @$x a month- water pressure regulator where the line comes into the house.- water efficient heads- Chicago controls thermostats- coin op laundry was our move this year- big ticket item but I am still a kid when I empty the quarters 👍 - make room for parking on the property- additional $- turn the boiler down.
