The challenge with these locks is that if you need to terminate or remove a code after the fact you’re SOL: the code duration or use case is locked in and since the “locks don’t talk” back to the Internet there’s no way to remove/change the code after the fact unless you use their local USB stick which acts, similar to a ZWave/wireless SmartHub to sync codes back and forth to another device (like your PC or phone) through the Internet to their system.

I just received a quote from the termite company and it includes a $1,000+ one-time up front installation fee for some sort of device that prevents them on an ongoing basis, and then like a $200-ish per quarter charge on each property for ongoing treatment.~$200 per quarter per property sounds about right to me for termite control, but I'm having a really hard time wrapping my head around a $7,000+ up front cost to install their system at all of them.

When I don't answer it goes to my Google Voice Mail and they transcribe the message and I get the MSG on my phone to listen to.Works well and has the ability to use other VOIP services as well but GV is free :P The device was like $35 bucks on ebay.Jeff V
