@Frank Wolter really inspiring to read, I also got married at 22 and my son was born at 23, im currently in the military and my wife stays at home and takes care of our one year old son.

I think going to banks, credit unions or anyone that could lend you money is a great start.

Try credit unions in Indiana, they have more flexibility.  

I am about 6 months from getting out of the military .

There is a problem with evicting one of the new batch of families, her husband is active military, and their making rent depended on her employment.
