I took the exact same path as you did following and copying everything @Brandon Turner did even down to getting his Vivid vision for open-door capital and copying that.For me, focus was always the key to my success....so maybe consider several zip codes, be very specific about whether you want single family or multi, and lastly just clearly define your investment parameters (COC, cashflow, etc.)If you want to do some networking with some other local investors and industry professionals here in Chicago make sure you make it out to our holiday Party next Thursday:   https://www.biggerpockets.com/forums/521/topics/1153680-chic...
