If it's just a bad finish that should be easy enough to re work.

Your ROI probably needs to be re-worked.  

But if you are going to push forward it needs to be reworked to your advantage.  

As such, I try to create value by renovating the kitchens and baths as well as re working the interior to maximize bedroom count.  

You're not likely to get far in RE working alone with no experience and no capital.
