Hello All,I am looking for a professional who will take care of tax protest and charge 20-25% on savings.I found lot of people who are charging 40% to 50% - That’s really high.Do you have any suggestions or reference on any you have used in past?

I stumbled on this thread while doing research on the protest process.

We plan to protest the tax next year to bring down our expenses.

We use a tax protest company and they ask for HUD statements up to 3 years old, I don't know how they use this information, but it helps them lower our property taxes.

Be sure to expect protesters though if like last year....2)  If you got a huge reply,  you underpriced..

You can protest an appraisal you think missed the mark, but you need to be able to back it up. 

In Texas, protests need to be filed by May 31st and most counties have access to online appraisals to check the values
