To my knowledge, any children living in the home can attend the zoned school district. 

@Lilly Fina 2 years living as a household is reasonably stable.

I was literally living in a construction zone, spent $35,000 and lived there 3 years while acquiring 2 other similar properties to rehab and rent out.

I would like to keep it as there are two doors on the property and it would cash flow nicely with my insanely low mortgage/interest.However, I’m leery of managing while living internationally.

I’m looking to buy land in Tennessee, but I live in New York and know nothing about what neighborhoods in Tennessee to look at and which to stay away from.

Just be cognizant that if you househack a multiunit, you have to live next door to your tenants, and you will also be steepening your learning curve by adding additional layers.

So you are saying I can have two homes under a VA loan and rent out my first primary and live in my 2nd primary home?
