We have 6 STR units but looking to sell our duplex to buy a larger house or 2 to hopefully hit FI this year as well.

Staying out of the market just because you feel the easier path is in the stock market can hurt you in the long run, if you want to be in REI or use REI to achieve FI.

The obvious offset to that is that you can re-fi on the way down in order to maintain margins, I plan on doing that.
