I spend roughly $120k on my renovations, but this is for the entire property and developing the secondary suite which certainly costs more (2 new furnaces, all new plumbing, new kitchens and bathrooms with tiled floors and showers).All said and done, I personally love it.

I still have plenty time left saving but when the time comes I’ll either be looking into conventional  loans, or some type of remodel loan to pay for the repairs of the property I am looking to fix up, because as far as I’ve seen so far it’s hard to find a good deal starting out unless you buy it as discounted as possible and put some sweat equity into it, let me know your thoughts on that ur possible.

In some older neighborhoods especially historic districts, the tenants look for older houses - they preferred the art deco bathroom tiles, the thick plaster & lath walls over granite countertops and stainless steel appliances.but class D neighborhoods are easiest to tell.
