Fifteen to twenty years ago, a person would have to purchase and read books (no podcasts), imagine that, to get what is now at your fingertips on a smartphone.

Our current circumstances/goals are key here... my partner is my boyfriend, we're in our mid-twenties, we don't have children and we look to invest in the same area that we currently live in.  

Lastly but not least I'm twenty-two and have a lot of learning to do. 

I'm not doubting them as I completely believe their stories, it's the fact that they're just in their twenties when they are making these purchases.

I wanted to refinance the property to get money out of it and put it into another house or 2 but Im in my early twenties and just out of college so I don't qualify for a mortgage.

I worked on ships out of Houston and New Orleans for twenty years and I would have been wiped out by all the hurricanes and floods these years.

Before long, investors were piling into the grand ballroom and the quiet whispers of the morning became a slow and steady roar, as investors from all over the US introduced themselves to each other, exchanged business cards and shared their stories of where they're from and why they're here.

In my twenty years of out of state real estate investing of five properties, I've never experienced such a situation. 

This has been their arrangement for almost twenty years (the tenant has lived in three of the landlord's properties, all located in California) and from inception there was never a written agreement for this arrangement.Now the landlord wants to have them sign a lease and write them checks for the work that is being performed, which apparently is to be cashed and returned right back to the landlord as the rent payment.

I'm twenty years old and looking to begin investing in my future thru means of real estate.
