Right now there is so much opportunity, don't handicap your buying power 

We sold the unit un-repaired to a handyman - for a profit - but it was definitely not a success compared to our normal transactions.The next one the woman had gone through a divorce - but was (sort of) mentally handicapped by it.  

We know they won't move until at least one of them passes or needs a nursing home,  this condo they are in is handicap-friendly all the way through and that's a damn rare thing around here.  

Being a student is not a protected class (handicap, national origin etc) so as long as you do it across the board with no exceptions then you'll be fine.

As long as you follow fair housing rules, and don't use race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status or handicap in your criteria, it is your decision.

Hey all, I thought I'd seek the advice of people much smarter than me regarding this potential scenario...I recently came across a property in an up-and-coming area, where the current owner is a mentally handicapped older gentleman who inherited the property from his father and is tended to by a live-in caretaker.  

The parents left no will but the mother wanted the son to live in the home since he is mentally handicapped.

Also, in many states, no professional training or certification is required (I think to eliminate the cost burden on the handicapped person, self-training, but I don't really know).  

I should have removed him long ago but he is friends with the handicapped tenant next door and helps him out.
