This reminds me of the movie “The founder” ...

She gave the example of a friend and their kid betting on whether they'd like a movie or not.

Most movies and TV shows have overtones where the "evil capitalists" are the bad guys, our youth grow up with this narrative. 

I have reached out to some contacts I know in the movie biz for advice but wanted to see if anyone on the forums here have real world experience.

sorry :-( but I couldn't help it.this seems like some made up trick to get out of a lease, or they watch way too many exorcist movies Idk.  

The iPadPro is great for watching movies on long flights, but not much else.  

The fringes were somewhat sketchy in the 80s and 90s, but they fixed up the downtown in the 90s, but nothing much happened until the movie theater went in downtown in the early 2000's, then people started coming downtown and more restaurants opened and it got trendier.Even at the most recent bottom in 2012 it seemed expensive, but it's doubled since... it's been pretty crazy lately, teardowns everywhere, we just counted 8 in our neighborhood.
