Also, consider using a porcelain tile instead of ceramic. 

How hard is it to tile a living room in the porcelain wood tile.

Use tans, darker grout as posible, use grout sealer to prevent stains, and use PORCELAIN tile just make sure your patient or keep eyes open for sales on it and store it away when under 2 an sf.

I was told at the tile shop that through-body porcelain is the only kind of tile that's virtually impossible for tenants to ruin.

But you can get a little bottle of porcelain patch and go over the chips for her maybe.

That's actually what I have on the first floor of my house, was hoping to avoid running the heating, and even inside it doesn't get all that warm....I'm guessing outside it would really take a lot to keep temperature.I was thinking maybe there was a vinyl tile product that might fit the bill.I really like the porcelain tile that looks like hardwood, if there was something similar looking that wasn't as quite cold as tile......hrmmm......

I have porcelain floors and cordless blinds, so the interiors are somewhat dog proofed in that sense.

i went to Floor and Decor store and scratched their expensive vinyl plank with a sharp object, and they all scratched.The only thing that didn't scratch was ceramic/porcelain tile.

My current plan is to go “Home Depot fancy”- stock cabinets, cheap granite counters, the cheapest stainless steel appliances I can get at a scratch and dent, vinyl plank flooring (other option is to refinish the hardwoods),and wood look porcelain tile in the baths.

I will upload a pic to show when I get home but the cupboards and the massive porcelain sink are straight eye soars and its the first thing you walk into the aprtment and see.
