What were your maintenance costs for the past year, to include replacing broken furniture, dishes, etc?

Included in my cost is new bath soap, deodorant soap, dish soap, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, and occasionally bath towels and bed sheets.

The absence of a utility bill increasingly overcomes the aesthetic arguments of roof vents and satellite dishes being impacted by a solar array.

My advice is who you will be renting too. college kids big money from parents. your average Mr and Ms Joe who have a professional job with no kids etc. what amenities will you be putting in washer dryer dish washer etc.

My grandfather was an experimental test pilot in the Air Force and flew in the Korean war, father a helicopter pilot in Viet Nam and brother a helicopter pilot doing 2 tours in Iraq and Afganistan.

I find manual dish washing peaceful , especially while listening to my favorite podcast. 

I might have to go and paint it myself because they are not going to dish out the cash.   

Who pays for damage to the furniture, missing dishes/utensils, etc.?

If they're plastic, it'll work for a while, but PVC and ABS are hard to get paint to stick to on a long-term basis.If there's a satellite dish on the roof, you may have to disconnect it temporarily while roofing. 

The title insurer would not dish out the balance (now over $4400 due to late fees) unless they had a signed judgment.
