The law requires disabled persons to have a minimum 30-day relationship with their licensed mental health professional (LMHP), who must be certified to practice in California.  

They are certified members of InterNACHI and pride themselves on thorough inspections.

Do i need to be certified or do some official thing to take in a tenant like that?

Does it have to be an architect local to the state you are rehabbing/building in that would have to sign off on your plans or can any certified architect sign off on your drawings?

For fireplaces, I took one out in one home as the seller didn't think it was WETT certified; the other we knew was so we left it with explicit instructions.

I sent the landlord a letter with 23 pictures using certified mail with return receipt. 

Prior to that I went through the education modules and took the test to be able to be certified and make the purchase.
