Hi Genene,About the gentleman who totally looked at you stated his name & walked away.My guess is his wife was there too, and he didn't want to get the cold shoulder at home for "Chatting up" a lady she didn't know. 

Basically, Miami drew my partner and I here because most of the world has given this place an investment cold shoulder, and are now slowly starting to warm up to it again.

The issue here, in particular, is that the building side entrance door is very fragile and easy to shoulder through into the dwelling at which point her now unlocked/broken bedroom can allow for anyone to steal her stuff.
