I did real well in Atlanta in 2011 then the hedges came in and kicked to the curb we were.. but i think we scored 54 homes that year.. and all great deals.. but as you know 2011 is not here today.. that was a time and place that will probably not be re created.. i mean i bought some brand new homes that never got lived in for less than 50kI was buying duplex's in fort Meyers at auction for 25 to 30k.. it was insane.. and could i raise 100 million..

I'd say no shorts, unless you're at the lake or some recreational area, and well dressed in them.Walk into a Realtor firm, talk to some Realtors, just notice thier dress, an investor dealing in residential and small multi probably ought to dress like most of the local Realtors.

I think the neighbors came out to see why an 18 year kid driving a BMW was doing in the neighbor "hood" so that they could either tell you are in the wrong neighborhood or where to go to buy your recreational drugs.If this is your first deal or one of your early deals in your investing career, and you are uncomfortable with the neighborhood, then you need to walk away and find a more comfortable settings.

Good luck on your trip Rich.If I were traveling to other states for other reasons or built a portfolio to travel to as a recreational benefit, I can see going out of state.I know there are some good deals in FL and NY, don't really want to go there and buying property you don't want to visit seems like asking for problems to me.
