They can ask you to serve notice so one unit (or both) are vacant at the time of possession, but if you agree to that make sure you have a large deposit and some of that is not refundable if the buyer backs out as you will need it to cover the lost rent.

With very low inventory levels due to covid-19, sellers have taken their homes off the market in large quantities.

If another seller of a good house for sober living called me (large, near the bus and amenities) I'd do it.   

If you are seeing  a large number in a small area that have been sitting, I would be more concerned. 

@Samuel It is my understanding that you can recast the loan if you make a large payment which should keep the original low interest rate and give you a new adjusted, lower mortgage payment going forward.
