Wholesaler went into a deal with seller- contract specifies it is assignable.I went into contract with the wholesaler.Wholesaler contacts me and says the deal is dead that the seller backed out.He is a bit shady and I smelled a fish so I contacted selling agent- agent says they close in a few days and that its the same person who was in contract from the start.What do I do?

I know he gets to fish more during the steelhead season than I do..

I guess maybe a little fishing in the pond. but cant see how that is HBU.once you partner with a developer you lose your ability to 1031 and your now going to pay full rate tax's as your creating inventory.. so a talk with your CPA would be warranted..
