@Jason Bridges , welcome to BP and congrats on getting started.I think most people would say you should start with the end in mind and know what your planned (and backup) exit strategy is for a property before purchasing.  

Obviously, the current state of the real property market place helps fuel the fire with lower product supplies and higher price expectations and since 'distressed' loans trade for some discount, the bridge is easily made.

A bit farther than these, but maybe more relevant is the South Shore REIA that meets on the cape just over the bridge and a meetup in Plymouth.I have not done a vacation rental so no insights on that.  

This key distinction which is some part of staying with the idea of the workload between the targets of today's market for us 5% on the low passive side to 20% on the active side is at times a bridge too far.

Also as far as the tub goes I am looking at refinishing instead after what @Jeff Bridges said.

Hi all,Was curious what the community (especially the DFW community) thinks about the area just west of downtown Dallas which is across the newish Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge.

Having been spending time in New York our friends introduced to the Hipster Phenomena .driving over the Manhattan Bridge there was a giant line of traffic to get into Williamsburg.

Most of the commercial banks have bridge programs that you could use here.
