As a hobby I like to build and flip furniture, but always wanted to learn more carpentry skills to flip homes.

You have to be good at:Marketing to find deals, which usually takes money.Knowing how to run comps accurately, which requires MLS access, skill and experience.Knowing how to estimate construction costs accurately - which is a skill that takes a lot of learning.Knowing how to negotiate with sellers.

They often lack the experience, know how and skills that are necessary for a professional transaction.

I am looking to trade my skills as a handy man/ ASE certified mechanic for a few hours a week in investing knowledge.

Also it is important to have understanding of what it takes to source all this off market properties (lots of time, money, skills) sooner you do you will be able to have much greater success with wholesalers.                                                                                   

If they own property free and clear - talk terms and price (listen to what's important for the seller and there are many ways - so work in your negotiation skills.

Unlike roaches, BB have nothung to do with house keeping skills.

It is that easy to gain more knowledge and be more skilled when it comes to the real estate industry.

Even if you have to use less expensive stuff for the some of the flips, your skills will make them shine in staging!
