Below are 5 pieces of information as to why I invest in Chicago despite its high property taxes, lousy weather and corrupt politicians.  1) Volume of Sales Have Has Been Increasing in the Past 5 Years  2) Inventory Has Been Declining in the Past 5 Years  3) Foreclosure Filings Has Been Declining Also in the Past 5 Years  4) The Increase in Home Sales, Decrease in Housing Inventory Are Backed by Resurgence of Employment in the Past 4 Years  5)  All of these mean that over the next few years, property prices in Chicago will INCREASE (based on reversion to the mean - see Case Schiller Index):The NOT So GoodI've decided to part ways with a JV partner on a rehab project.
