Just make sure to shim it flush with the existing, and if you can get a scarf joint in there, it  will look and hold better. 

During that time, we washed laundry, ran the sinks, flushed toilets, etc.

For me low flow toilets and older plumbing were not a good mix; constant plunging and double flushing made me switch back.

There's a lot of flux in regulation changes near and long term to flush out.

The two young men who currently rent this are quite tall (both over six feet) and did ask if the ceiling fans could be replaced with flush mounted ceiling lights as they were worried about bumping into the fans.  

The tenants are back able to flush .This week I will rent a mini ex , have the plumber pull a permit and install new drain field .

Fill it with water, flush, ensure no leaks, and then leave it and hope nothing happens.Then I got a grip on my right brain cell and reminded it that we're doing this as an investment, and reliability is right next to tenant experience in the hierarchy of value we're adding here: FIX IT. 

Flushing the toilet daily is enough to prevent any mold from growing in that space, so I suspect it's likely a disintegrating flapper seal or something inside the tank.When someone complains of mold, I share this EPA Guide to educate them.

I had no clue I'd spent that much right because what happens is is that you start out thinking oh that's a hundred thousand or that's a thousand and then the time goes by pretty soon you got this big bill you're not focused on it right so the key thing is you got to watch your burn rate whenever you do a property you got to sit down and go up and add up all the carry costs that are going to run you monthly not the things that you buy once but the things that burn on a consistent consistent basis right you're flushing those dollars down the toilet every day your project doesn't get done right.

The only challenge with this property was figuring out rehab my investor wanted to go through with, we were debating if it was worth the extra money and time to do a flush 3rd story addition over a setback + roof deck.
