In most states, felons are not a protected class and you can just put that as a criteria in your rental profile. ie, no previous felony convictions.

I am sure there have been changes to the original suggested plan and I have not seen the final copy of the ordinance so my understanding is not up to date.The last I heard they were going to use a point system so if someone has 2 felony convictions in the last 7 years they might lose 5 points per conviction and end up with 0 points but if they attend a rent well class you can add 5 points.

My listing State 680 + FICO score no convictions and 3x rent income I’m guessing that weeds out mostlowest rental is $2000/mo I think $40 is not much to them
