That is such a great insight and response actually makes the most logical sense especially since we are trying to attract a good Section 8 tenant which would include those with special needs children. 

And example, I was selling a house and a buyer found out that I had 2 special needs children. 

I was given the leases and the one side has listed two adults, 2 children living there.

Great for a family with young children.

You would need to see if there are children/pets in the unit, but Advion works wonders on ants.

Great school area for my children.

Here's my question:  Why are you told that if you have small children, you must put your oxygen mask on first?

At this point I am trying to get into a primary residence that I could sell or rent out after my children graduate high school (~9 years).

We were able to live in an area that gave our children a good education and the rental paid our very high property / school taxes.I learned to be a landlord and made good friends along the way.

He was an elderly man (with his adult children involved helping him) and was looking to keep the property as a rental, not even to flip (despite being old it was still livable).
