The trim was not done, not painted completely around the ceiling lights, he painted the ceiling off white.

The grass/weeds are cut about once a month but no trimming/edging leaves grass and weeds growing tall in front of the roll-up doors.

However, I really thought the metal trim would tie in the stainless steel of our sink, faucet, and future appliances. 

Do I keep it as is or trim it down almost all the way?

I use HD gold status Behr 200 premium eggshell interior gloss trim and its not always 1 size fits all but typically I stick to light grey brown pastels for walls and darker comp color for trim or white I like to paint ceiling same color as walls lets the crown molding pop more

In fact the only thing in that house that isn't new are some of the walls, the original hardwoods and the trim we painstakingly kept (costing us more) to keep the original 1930s look as much as possible.

We're also going to paint the exterior a different color with white trim, add some decorative rock and shrubs, etc.We're in the process of purchasing an 11-plex so I won't be doing any more major renovations on this home for a few years unless it is required.This home was purchased for $57,000.

I was thinking about having it painted a tan color with white trim and painting the doors black or red.

I'll probably just work on some interior paining and trim.

When I was a train commuter, I used to see one house along the tracks in another suburb which was painted lemon-yellow with bright blue trim.
