I spoke to a young lady the other day who was going through training and they wanted her to hand out 10 business cards at Home Depot and knock on doors.

I only have one rental right now (getting ready to close on number 2 in a few weeks) so I do not have much experience, but I also provide a handout to all tenants explaining renters insurance, the typical costs, what it covers and why it is important.

How about those live on handouts section 8?

Even with a master lease and option, the Lessor/Vendor will be expecting an end-game which results in a sale and the Tax Man will still be there with his hand out.  

I actually spoke with their reps at a trade show today and got this response: "Hi Nate!

@Eric Merhar I noticed the dates you will be in Greensboro and if you’re interested the local REIA is having a trade show April 19th from 7:30-9:00pm at the Marriott at the Greensboro airport.

It touches home to respond.The only reason permits are permits is to make sure the work is done in code.Code is safety issues and city has their hand out for the fee!

Come closing time lo and behold there they are sticking their hand out for a commission they did not put much effort into earning.

-I hand them 2 papers: one is our official company handout, with pictures and a 800 number.
