Repaint (make it a shade of grey), get rid of any carpeting, put down luxury vinyl laminate flooring. 

I replaced the appliances, painted the interior, replaces all lighting fixtures and ceiling fans, demolished a secondary deck, landscaped, repainted shutters, and minor exterior vinyl siding repairs with powerwash.

We repainted, updated fixtures, replaced old countertops with corian, installed white subway tile backsplash, updated furnishings in home, cleaned up landscaping and added some flowers.

. :)I own a small house that needs some basic exterior work done; some siding replaced and repainted, some beams on the front porch repaired/replaced, and some missing screws on the metal roof replaced. 

Not that serious, but had to do some ceiling work, and asked her to let me know if there's any more water issues etc, and that I'd need to repaint the ceiling.  

For the unit that left, i hired a cleaning company for $150, laid down some carpet tile, and repainted. although the cabinetry and bathroom/kitchen was dated, in my area, it wouldn't have added much value. 

I think I can add a third bedroom to both units in addition to redoing kitchens and baths and repainting.

The only thing I have done so far is repaint the entire property.
