They barely lasted in California (they are based on London).The challenge is (1) you are assuming all listings have open houses and (2) there are a lot of moving parts that can happen behind the scenes.

It's difficult to have a site with the functionality of BP that works the same on an app; a lot of designers are moving towards phone-optimizing language that essentially gives you the website on your phone without you having to pinch or drag to make the view make sense.

You need to be very committed to this if you move forward.

I graduated with a degree in construction management, moved to Dallas Texas to work with a large construction company building projects anywhere from 30 million on up to 1.2 billion.

I think its rare you can take a model you're doing in this are or product and just move it somewhere else or on to some other product.To me, If you have a niche that works and you're good at it and the numbers are strong,  I believe you should put everything you have into that business model and grow it and grow it fast while the getting is good. 

My wife and I have moments where we think maybe we should just cancel this but then we get excited about the new adventure and path it could put us on if we do move forward with this.

Our firm is planning on starting a Portal (legal term) next year on our roadmap because with $5M as the new threshold this really can move the needle for certain projects and sponsors.  

Any tips?

Most people really don't understand this fact (myself include prior to moving here) and it can trip you up if you don't have reliable "boots on the ground" or a thorough understanding of neighborhoods and blocks.
