You need to police your own, crooks take legit business away from you, harm the image of investors, make things harder for you to deal in, authorities paint with a broad brush bringing you in the same scam categories and ultimately you suffer the backlash of their greed or ignorance or both.

Scamming someone by selling a car with a bad transmission is unethical but it doesn't have much of an effect on others that trickles through into other areas as RE does.

Sure it's filled with advertising, pornography, games, and scams - but it is also the greatest gathering of minds and mental ability and thought process ever assembled.  

My advice is just google Rich Dad / Poor dad scam and see what comes up.

Deals such as you are discussing can range from honest, legit ventures to outright scams.

Too many scam artists out there.  

Some are good but many run heavy scams and are shifty in their business dealings.
